Book a winter warmer at the Bull at Burford

Thanks for the wonderful B&B reviews!

We love reviews. The vast majority are glowing in appreciation for the Bull and our staff, like these below, and when there is occasionally the odd little thing that we could have done better, it’s great to know and put right.

Here is a handful of our most recent reviews across Tripadvisor and Booking.com from late December and early January. If you have stayed with us recently please remember to write a review and let us know how we did.

You’re loving the old world charm and room facilities

“Good location, nice staff, parking on site, for the price it was good value overall for the location. The building is very old and has that sort of cosy, quirky character.”

“We stayed for 2 nights B&B. The hotel building is ancient and has lots of interesting features. Our bedroom was immaculate. Great shower and spacious bathroom. Good quality towels and range of toiletries. The bed was king size and comfortable. The wardrobe was large with plenty of hangers. The central heating was efficient. Breakfast was great. Extensive range of fruit salads, home made jams, cereals, cold meats, even Greek yoghurt with a honeycomb. A freshly cooked breakfast and good coffee. Couldn’t, be better.”

You’re also loving breakfast…

“Ideal location, room and facilities, breakfast excellent. Well recommended.”

“Room was very clean, comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing, homemade muesli, huge choice of food. Staff really helpful and very knowledgeable of the area and the history of the area. The restaurant wasn’t open for meals but plenty of choice in the village”

And you’re loving our rooms

“We had a very pleasant stay at the Bull at Burford. The courtyard bedroom was warm, even though the temperature outdoors was below freezing. The four poster bed very comfortable. The en-suite bathroom looked as though it was newly refurbished. The breakfasts were enjoyable, and well presented. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.”

“Lovely hotel, very comfortable rooms with everything that you could want or need.”

cotswold midweek breaks

Midweek mini-breaks in the Cotswolds

By Jean-Marie Lauzier

The weather doesn’t quite know what it’s doing but I love this time of year. For those with young children it is a case of getting back into the school routine, but for those like me (whose kids are grown up) there’s often time and freedom to go and explore a bit, and Burford in the Cotswolds is the perfect place for this.

With this in mind, we’ve come up with three special offers for people who want to make a break for it during the week to relax and stay in a lovely room from Sunday to Friday, and get back home in time for the weekend, maybe to take care of the grandchildren! Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure these will appeal to a far broader audience than just grandparents, but I’m looking at them from my perspective!

2-night Burford mini-break

This is a refreshing two night midweek stay with breakfast and a 3-course a-la-carte dinner both nights, and a bottle of champagne on arrival, all from just £169 per person! Book here >>

3-Night Cotswold Escape

For those wanting something a little longer, this offers an incredible 3-night midweek stay, with the usual breakfast and a 3 course a-la-carte dinner (value £35 pp) on two of the three nights, knowing that sometimes people like to venture out somewhere else too on one night. There’s also a bottle of champagne on arrival and all this from just 199 per person sharing, with a superior upgrade available for a little more.  Book here >>

The perfect dog-walker’s Sunday

Lots of people ask if we accept dogs and the answer is yes, as long as they’re friendly and well-behaved! This Sunday Special package offers Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for just £74.50 per person sharing, and dogs go free (usually a small charge applies).  Book here >>

Royal Air Tattoo 2019!

If you’re an Air Tattoo enthusiast you’ll already be planning for July 2019. With the event held in nearby Fairford, we have a 3-night minimum stay package including dinner, bed & breakfast on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights of the Air Tattoo. Ring the hotel if you want to book a Friday-Saturday-Sunday stay.

Welcome to Burford

Summer specials at the Bull

We’re entering into a really busy part of the year when the Cotswolds area, including Burford, receives thousands upon thousands of visitors. The staff really enjoy this as there’s nothing better than a busy hotel and our Manager Kali and Head Chef Pablo have put together two really great offers, both of which have hidden benefits!

The Sunday Stroll

I love this deal and wish other hotels would do it. Arrive at the Bull for a delicious Sunday lunch, with the additional benefit of an early check-in. If you feel up to it you can then head out for a walk in the country – and remember dogs are very much allowed and welcome at the Bull.

Then come back to us in time for a light evening meal, for which you receive a voucher towards the cost. Then a good night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast on Monday morning to set you up for the week! At £74.50 per person, based on two sharing, I think this is a great deal on a standard room, or you can upgrade to a superior for a little more.

3-night Midweek break

If you want something a little longer, and can get away during the week, our three-night stay could be just for you. This is available from Sunday to Thursday assuming three consecutive nights stay, bed and breakfast, with TWO nights’ dinner included in our restaurant or bar. And to get things off to the best possible start, you also have champagne on arrival.

Knowing how good our food is, from £199 per person for the three nights including the two dinner allowances, I think this is great value and again I wish more hotels would do something like it!

Book one of these offers now! We hope to see you soon.
